ABOUT US
After graduating from Dow, most of us spent last decade of nineteenth century working tirelessly to earn postgraduate training and starting families. At the turn of the millennium, after settling in our new roles, most of us thought of the friends and memorable moments we have spent together as students at Dow. The idea of networking among old friends was discussed during phone conversations and mini get-togethers. Azim Qureshi took the lead, and started to collect email addresses at the APPNA annual summer meeting in 2005.
At first, the list was small and comprised of only few names. Persistence finally paid off, and as friends introduced more friends to the list serve, it grew to approximately ---- names on the list. This list includes friends all over the world, thousands of miles apart, but as close as a “send” button on their PCs. Last year, at the APPNA meeting in Orlando, Florida, we had our very first class reunion. It was a tremendous success. More than 30 couples along with their children attended. At the dining table, the idea of our class web site was discussed.
After about a year of hard work, we are happy to launch our own (Class of 89) website. This is the very first version and we expect to improve it after reviews from our users. We’d prefer to use this site as a tool to network among friends, helping friends who are in need, spreading significant news that may affects any one of us and most importantly to have lively discussions on various topics.
So friends go ahead and use this site and please do not forget to send us your valuable inputs so we can improve the website.
